Job Description

Position Title: Treasury Associate


Job Summary:

Processing of daily cash settlement obligations to various counterparties/custodians/banks and monitoring of trade and non-trade receivables and payables of Investments.


Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Finance or Business-related courses
  • 3 years of settlement experience
  • Knowledge and exposure to Money Market and Foreign Exchange and/or Derivative products, Treasury Operations, and payment processing.
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.


Key Responsibilities:

In charge of the end-to-end settlement processing and validation of foreign and local requests for bank payment execution.

  • Cross Border Transfers
  • Domestic Transfers
  • Letter of Instructions for Time Deposit placements, Foreign Exchange deals, Government Securities, Corporate Bonds, and USD-denominated bonds
  • Check preparation
  • Online payments

Bank Reconciliation

  • Help with the reconciliation of bank statements to ensure that all transactions are accurate and up to date
  • Monitors managed GL account and escalates to the concerned unit for proper and timely resolution
  • Checks accuracy and completeness of all accounting entries within the given cut-off
  • Review documents, proof sheets, and reports on time

Feedback and Issue Resolution

  • Resolve trade pre-matching and pre-settlement issues by coordinating with banks, custodians, and counterparties
  • Escalate and report issues according to internal protocols.

Compliance

  • Complies with the existing policies and control procedures and performs other tasks for the accomplishment of the Department’s goals
  • Review and submit regulatory reports before the deadline

Administrative

  • Maintain accurate records, update static data, and follow daily checklists.
  • Update annual bank requirements such as Customer Information Form and Signature Cards.
  • Assist with project-related and other ad-hoc tasks.

Process Improvement & Training

  • Document procedures, update risk assessment, enhance workflows, and support training for new team members.
