Job Overview:

The Accounting Assistant plays a key role in the daily operations of the accounting department. The individual will assist with various accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliation, invoice processing, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with the company's internal policies and external regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Accounting Support:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing processes.
  • Prepare invoices, payments, and purchase orders as necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.

2. Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of compliance reports to regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor changes in financial and tax regulations and report them to management.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to review internal processes for potential improvements and updates.
  • Maintain documentation related to compliance activities.

3. Record Keeping:

  • Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions and compliance-related documents.
  • Assist in the archiving of records according to company policy and regulatory requirements.

4. Audit Support:

  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
  • Provide necessary documents and reports to auditors and answer audit queries.

5. Communication:

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial and compliance matters.
  • Work with other departments to gather relevant data for accounting and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience:

  • Newly graduate
  • Experience in payroll, accounts payable, and receivable is an advantage

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledgeable in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with various teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with tax laws, payroll processing, and regulatory requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: Php19,000.00 - Php22,000.00 per month
